There are several medical conditions that can cause that. I am sure that your doctor will be able to help you. Look up alopechia. Read the definitions and see if it something that may apply to you. Good luck.

Take a deep breath and try not to worry about it. Since you said the area is tender, it sounds like it could be a skin condition and the doctor can help you with that. He/she may send you to a dermatologist (skin doctor) if that's the case.

Try not to worry. I had a girlfriend who was born with a bald spot on the back of her head, and she discovered hairstyles to cover it. She was also one of the most popular people I've ever met ;-) Try to relax.

Could be anything from wearing a ponytail holder or barrette too tight in your hair for too long, to too strong of a shampoo giving you an alergic reaction, to alopecia.

My sis has alopecia, and she uses Nioxin shampoos, which help alot. She also used Rogaine for women for awhile, and I think she liked that too.

So go to the doctor -- I'm sure it's something easily explained -- and feel better! I'll bet you'll be looking your own fabulous self very soon. :-)

The doctor is there to help you and is best qualified to give you advice on this subject. If you didn't go you wouldn't get help and it would get worse .Now that would be something to be scared of .It is less scary to talk to the doctor and get this all fixed up.It 's probably nothing serious.

It could be that you are pulling hairs oput of your head when you take a shower, or if you run your fingers through your hair.

I'm not sure what it is, but I'll be praying for you. Just remembers He's watching over you. :)
