Because they are generally incredibly ignorant, not all of them to such a degree, a point that has already been made by others, but of them have to be to a certain extent. Having said that everyone needs to be slightly ignorant to the truth in order to get on with our lives, otherwise we'd all be just trying to get our heads round how solid objects are mostly made up of space and stuff like that.

A person should have a clue about what they're really talking about when they say science...the debate over evolution is so heated because it's taught as fact when, in fact, it's just theory. Yes there is evidence for natural selection through minute variations over time, called microevolution, but never has there been the least evidence produced that a species has evolved from another species, and that is after all, the proof that evolutionists offer for our having evolved from a common ancestor with apes...they do nothing but show what might be by extrapolating macroevolution from microevolution. The question is ..can they prove that a species evolved from another species? It hasn't happened folks.

Know what you're talking about prior to spewing ignorant judgemental hatred...here are a few famous scientist who knew there is a God...Nicholas Copernicus, Albert Einstein, Isaac Newton, Galileo Galilei and Sir Fancis Bacon.

Having no clue about what? I don't get it. Do you mean that Christians do not want to learn about science. I'm a christian studying Pharmacology. I know other Christians that are studying physics, dentistry, biochemistry, I can carry on all day. I don't what church you have been to but you find Christians in all walks of life who ensure their children are educated.

It is true that some us the people that call themselves Christians will slip away in what we call the "end of days" but I must say that we are not all like this. Most christians want to have a clue by finding the truth. I must say friend that you need the truth too, because if you know the truth then you have a clue. I hope you find the truth so you can "have a clue" also. I hope that you will forgive your past and return to God, my friend, because as the messenger of God to you, I must say that God is willing to forgive you if you will trust in him, read the book of isaiah and of John and then you will know God loves you. Don't think that just because you got led astray that we are all liers and false prophets, it is the job of Christians and nonchristians to tell what is a lie and what is not, don't fall for the false Christians and you will develop in Christ. I have lived in the occult and after I had reached my highest potential in the occult Epsilon group, I found God was the truth, we are not living in ignorance but of trying to keep our personalities matching ours. May you find the truth and live it, God bless, Uziell.

It's willful ignorance. They don't WANT to learn anything that would disrupt their dogma.

That's why when they want "information" on evolution, they go to a creationist source, not a scientific one.

What I don't understand is how PROUD they are of ignorance. How many times has someone asked here "If men came from monkeys like evolution says, why are there still monkeys? So put THAT in your pipe and smoke it Charles Darwood!"

Absolute ignoramuses, but proud of it!

Uhhh, not really... I'm a Christian biochemistry major... I have more than clues. In the future, you might consider paying more attention to the individual rather than the "group" that they preside within.

I always thought they went hand in hand. God created man - man with the knowledge God bestowed upon him discovered science.

Most Bible-thumpers are afraid to question their beliefs. Blasphemy and damnation and all that.

Scary that their raising their kids never to question anything.
