I mean do you think everyone should be living in the country where they were born? I think that would be fair.

I mean all the "illegal immigrants" go to the United States for a better life, but they weren't born there, so i think they should fix their problem in their country, don't you think?

You can't say that. No, people should be free to go where they want to go, as in to visit or to live. But people should go about the legal way to reside in a country they were not born in. I don't think illegal immigrants should be tolerated...anywhere. For example, it's not fair for all the illegal immigrants who live in America, who receive free health care and government assistant, to be able to reside there without a green card or citizenship. The middle class are the ones who suffer for it. We pay taxes to help these people. The least they can do is become legal and pay taxes, too. It's a big mess, and I am not saying that people shouldn't be allowed to live in different countries, but just go about the right way of doing things. It's as much the govenments fault as it is the illegal immigrants. They allow it and it should have been handled differently. My parents are immigrants from Laos, but they have been here for 25 years and they are both citizens and they both pay taxes.

What would you do if the country you were living in broke out into a civil war, where one race tried to kill another? Would you fight, die, or flee to a more peaceful place? Sound hard to believe? Its happening in Africa right now.

If there was another country that would you pay you more to work there, so that you could have a higher standard of living for you and your family, you'd want to go there right?

In your case, your an idiot, whose so blind to America is the greatest nation that you can't imagine a day when US supremacy isn't around. You live in a dreamworld, a bubble because you probably haven't known any hardship.

If we didn't have immigrants, guess what - instead of sitting at your computer asking dumbass questions, you'd be getting paid $4 an hour to mow all the yards, or be a maid, or stuck in a warehouse somewhere - the many, wonderful jobs that Americans don't want because they are menial and don't pay well.

Idiot.

I think illegal immigration is a crime, and that enforcement is the right answer. Deporting people that've entered the country illegally underscores support for the immigration system and the laws as they're written, and punishes those that have made a business of figuring out ways to break the law.

No I don't agree with that... I'm completely against illegal immigration but legal immigration is a good thing for many many reasons... The US is not the only country with illegal immigrant problems... heck even Mexico has a problem with illegal immigrants in their country from South America... but Legal immigration is a good thing- that's how the US was built

I'm just guessing, of course, but I'd say that if that were the case you probably wouldn't have been born here. And this country would be a whole lot different than it is. Above that, immigration law like you are proposing would be impossible to enforce anyway.

Excellent idea. That means I get to stay right here in the United States of America.

If you think everyone should live in the country they were born in, do you think all Brits should be kicked out of Spain, France, Australia, etc, or all Americans out of Europe, Middle East, Japan, wherever they are? Personally, I think it's good that I could choose to live in another country. It's called freedom!

At the very least I think you should be required to speak the language of the country you are a citizen in.

so if you lived in a country in which you had no rights, no freedom, no chance at a better life, or were constantly in fear you should have to stay there for the rest of your life
