I just got spacers, since im getting braces soo, and they hurt like hell. I can't eat anything, unless i just let it dissolve in my mouth. Any ideas how to ease the pain?

OHHHHHMYGOD i went through that same experience. >_<
Take lots of motrin, drink instant breakfast, DON'T try to eat a banana (owies), and stock up on oatmeal, puddings, (maybe) eggs, and any other soft foods you can think of. Bad news=it'll probably last a couple/a few weeks. Good news=well, I lost weight...you probably will too (seeing as you can't EAT). So, to most girls, (except the ones with high metabolism problems or something), that's good news.
hope you feel better! It'll be worth it, trust me!

i had to have spacers for 8 days (yes i counted it was that painful i know what your going through) the only thing you can do is either eat or cold foods that you can swallow, but don't not eat because thats bad for you. in the mean time try making milkshakes with protein power so your still getting all your vitamins and nutriments. the only thing to do is wait til you get your braces, you shouldnt have spacers too long, maybe a week to a week in a half. try taking aleve or something, but it didnt help me.

These ppl dont know what they are talking about. I just got spacers sometime last week and now have braces. You can take motrin or Tylenol but it didnt help me. There's pretty much nothing you can to except suck down soup. I couldnt even eat bread. I know exactly what your going through!

Usually the pain goes away in about 5 days but until then take pain-relievers like Advil.

ANY OVER-THE-COUNTER PAIN MED.LIKE IBUPROFEN WORKS WELL. THE LONGER YOU HAVE THE SPACERS, THE LESS THEY HURT.
