If I had a time machine I would go back in time to the begining! I would go here to see how the world was realy created! Then I would probably go to the time of Jesus to see if he was even real! Then i would see the extent of his "poweres" if he was even real! And i would be going back to disprove religion. Not becasue I want everyone to be wrong! Just to put a little more faith in the scientific community!

There really is nothing you CAN do, because religions develop do to time and tradition and the more time that goes by in the mythological tales, the more authentic they become.

Nothing you can bring back from the past could change the minds of people who believe in mythology, because it doesn't matter. You would actually have to do something to alter WHAT happened then itself in order to change the course of the story telling and myth.

Christianity getting nipped in the bud would start with the Catholic Church, and how they put the books of the bible together, so, You could start by finding the books and making sure they burned with the library of Alexandria.
Muhammad would just have to have an unfortunate accident...

all the others...sheesh, is it really worth all the effort? there would be so many other more interesting things to do than worrying about what some dumb nutters believe.

I would take the time to learn to communicate, read, and write in the languages of the Patriarchs, Prophets, and Jesus Christ. Then I would compile a thorough bible in the original languages, after which I would spend time translating them with others from this era to give a contemporary translation of the Word.

The only basic difference between it and the Bible we have is it would be more thorough and account for the historical gaps in the Bible, especially regarding the books of the apocrypha.

Religion is spiritual, not imperical. A time machine would prove nothing concerning religious beliefs. Might prove or disprove historic details, but not belief in a god. I think! :-)

I'd go back to Sumeria and get the goods on all this hocus pocus from the guys who originated all that religion ****. Just for my own curiosity, as I know even with proof, non of the believers would ever look at it seriously... ;-)

I don't need a time machine for religion to be disporven. All I need is time. Eventually people will abandon religion for the superstious nonsense that it is.

In the parable of Lazarus and the rich man, Abraham told the rich man that people wouldn't believe even if one came back from the dead.
He proved that, Himself.
So, now I wonder....
Why do you think people would believe even if one came back from a trip through time??

It wouldn't be possible to do anything because religion is a act of faith and changing the facts will not change our faith. I would not interfere because it is not up to one person to try and change the fact of believing in religion, it is the individual. I wouldn't even try because if you changed religion imagine what would happen, wars and world chaos, because lets face it religion holds the world together and gives us hope.

I'd smoke some good weed and go watch the Big Bang and then find out who did it.
