spiritual death, to be separated from God.

some will overcome death here and now, others wont have a clue. Sin kills the sinner, that is the equation. Until you overcome the old man, you live, get sick, and die forever, so it is kind of like hell. But if you turn from the love of sin to the love of God, the cycle is broken. This is the importance of waking to the fact that sin is no friend to mankind. As you look at the world today, you see that many are in serious trouble right now.

Everything that God has created, and He has created all things, is eternal. You, not even scientist can make anything completely disappear. If you break it you'll have pieces. If you burn it you'll have ashes. It is the same with the soul of man,it is eternal.Adam was told when he sinned he would die.But looking at it from your perspective he didn't die for a few hundred years later. To understand God though you have to think in Spiritual terms and not carnal.Adam died that day spiritually. When he was spiritual he walked and talked with God, now that was over with.Adam became a living soul when God breathed the breath of life into him Gen. 2:7.A living soul will worship God in truth and in spirit. With sin in Adams heart it was impossible for him to serve God because he was now, spiritually speaking dead. This may be a crude way to put this but, Jesus is to the soul, what CPR is to the body.Jesus revives the soul and restores it back to the original state that Adam was.And as His Father breathed into Adam the breath of life,so did he after His resurrection breath once again the breath of life into man, John 20:22.Here Jesus breathed on His disciples, the future church and said " Receive you the Holy Ghost." Only those who are alive in Christ will enter into heaven. For those who are spiritually dead they are like the pieces and the ashes, and an eternal torment in hell awaits them.

Yes. We die because we sin. After death our souls are judged. Bad souls are tormented in hell. Good souls spend eternity with God. Is it that hard to understand?

I interpret this to mean the wage of sin is for your "soul" to be destroyed. This is another good quote which would put the whole hell, aka Satan's mystical pad, thing up for debate.

you live for eternity anyway, right? I thought Jesus said you live eternal forever if you follow him? He did n't say anything about living forever and ever being burned, did he?
Christians are stupid.

This is a spiritual message. Just as the LORD God told Adam that if he ate of the Tree of Knowlege he would die. But did he die, no not physically, but he spiritually became separated from God (out of the garden). Being separated from God itself is death, this is what God meant. They "died" spiritually to become alive physically. To be human and fleshly is sin in itself. Hell is separation from God. Living in sin here on earth (the "knowlege" of sin) is death in itself.

One must be born again, spiritually, to have life, true life.

Rom.3
[23] For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

1Cor.15
[50] Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

John.3

[3] Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

So once one is born again, or born of the spirit, or born of God (all the same), they no longer are sinning because they are no longer eating from the Tree of Knowlege of Good and Evil, but eating from the Tree of Life.

1John.3
[9] Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

Paul is talking about spiritual life with God in Heaven. Without God you have no spirtual life.

I don't know about Paul, but I think the wages of sin is suffering.

Death as in eternal seperation (and torment) from God.

No, he meant spiritual death. And the only way you get spiritual life anew is by becoming a Christian. Your soul never dies.
