As America continues to react to the incredible chaos caused by illegals...and as we make noise, our local people will find ways to enforce laws which our federal government is scratching at.

Ignoring our laws is the ultimate insult.

Enforcement is key. When corruption and widespread fraud and profiteering prove themselves to be evident, the law has less weight than it should. Nationwide, though, reform efforts on immigraiton law and enforcement are starting to make themselves be felt, but given that there's an estimated 12 million people who are in the country illegally, it won't be the work of 2 weeks to start getting people to go home. Employer enforcement's a real important part of it, because it is part of the 'magnet' aspect of the situation if employers will hire people in breach of US labor laws. More emphasis on hiring US citizens ONLY will help clarify the situation for aspiring would-be illegal immigrants. It's a big problem, and likely to only get bigger. More and more people support the enforcement concept, and though there's some opposition from some, the majority want the issue dealt with. As always though, the biggest hurdle on dealing with illegal immigration is, yes, Mexico. And, until we have better enforcement on the US/Mexico border, it'll continue to be a problem.

I really hope the Democrats don't fumble the ball on this issue, it'd be a shame if we had to turn around and start having recall elections...

No, but our government is ignoring the will of the majority of the people of the USA who want the current immigration laws enforced.
