My neighbors asked me & my husband last minute to come over, they are having a get together. I don't know if I can wear jeans and a nice blouse, or should I wear slacks. They don't come across as uptight people. We all are in our early 30's. Should I bring a bottle of wine? We have never been over to their house, we just moved in 3 months ago.

I think jeans and a nice blouse would be ok, and the wine is a nice gesture.
Have a great time!!

Yes you can since this is an informal get-together you and your husband are attending. If you want to wear a blouse with your jeans, then go for it. Bringing a bottle of wine to the gathering would be a good idea as to get to know your neighbors. I hope everything goes well for you and your husband.

I would opt for a nice blouse or sweater with slacks or a skirt. You don't want to go overboard but you should make them feel that they were special enough for you to dress up a bit. As for the wine, You may want to make sure they drink. If you don't know it might be better to bring a food gift like candies, cookies or crackers and cheese that could be offered up to the guests at the party if the hosts were allergic or something.

I would wear jeans with a nice, casual top and flats. It would be a nice host/hostess gift to bring a bottle of wine. I think you will be OK. Usually if it is a dressy occasion, the invitation would say so or your neighbors would have let you known at the time of the invite. Have a great time.

Jeans OR slacks would be fine!
Just wear a pretty top, not a low cut one. You don't want to upset any wives by having their husbands stare at you.

Yes. I would bring a bottle of wine. It's not necessary but it gives a good impression.

The nice thing about jeans is that you can dress them up or down, so I think you can wear them with a nice top and shoes! The wine would be a wonderful gesture. Have a great time!!

Wear the jeans and nice blouse, and leave the wine in the car. If it looks like everyone brought a gift, go out and get yours, but if no one else brought a gift you leave it there and don't look silly for bringing a gift when no one else did.

If it was a last minute invite, jeans are absolutely acceptable. As for the wine... I wouldnt. But its up to you. maybe a bottle under 10$ if you feel you need to.

Since you don't know them well, I would ask the woman of the house. I learned the hard way, so when I am unsure I ask. Being being over/under dressed is uncomfortable; for me being under dressed is the worst. I don't think that being uptight or age is a factor. It just depends on the group of people.
