The 01 car has been a good solid ride and the way that Mark wants to drive this year it will be a perfect match.

I examine someplace that the Budweiser sponsorship is going to flow to Kasey Kahne and the No. 9 crew. As for Martin entering into Junior's #8 journey, I doubt it. he's semi-retired and loving it. Ginn joined with DEI understanding this. threat is Mark will positioned himself out to pasture, and his stand-in will take over. This develop right into a flow to maintain Ginn in employer, no longer a flow to provide Martin an more desirable journey. At any cost: Junior followers will flow with Junior. It received't count who races the #8 motor vehicle. the vast question will be WHO sponsors Junior. The huge style on the motor vehicle is immaterial. Jeff Burton remains Jeff Burton and his followers nevertheless cheer for him even after he left the Rousch #ninety 9 journey for the RCR #31 Cingular/AT&T journey. same with Bobby Labonte and the Gibbs #18 Interstate Batteries journey. he's contained in the #40 3! The KING's journey! And he nevertheless has his fan base, PLUS all the Petty followers who're likely nevertheless searching for the time-honored STP emblem on the fringe of the motor vehicle.

No Mark needs to hang it up! Taking away Joe Nemechek ride for next year is ridiculous. Now Joe has to qualify in while Mark gets right in and gets an easy schedule. I mean WTF give Mark the new car. Let Joe keep his ride.
I just wish Mark would just leave the sport. If you ever make it to a race listen to him on the scanner. He whines and says I’m too old for this. Well if he is too old then step out of the car instead of acting like NASCAR owes him something. NASCAR owes him nothing, he hasn’t won a championship, he has only won 35 races in a 24-year career, in comparison, Tony Stewart has won 29 races in a 7-year career, and two championships. I would not call Mark Martin anything special in NASCAR. He is just a driver who has stuck around too long. One word for you Mark: RETIRE!!!!

I'm glad that he moved to Ginn Racing, but I don't think that Ginn should have given him the 01, he should have gotten the 13 so that Joe wouldn't have to qualify in.
I think he made the right move because that's what he wanted, and if it makes him happy then great. Besides, it'll probably get Ginn more money, which means (hopefully) better equipment for Sterling!

NO. For the past several years, he's been very vocal about how hard the schedule is on him and his family, and how he was looking forward to retirement. Then we have him and Rusty in 2005, and Mark's "Salute To You" tour, only to have him come back in 2006.
Now, I really enjoy watching Mark race, and I think he's one of the most respected guys in the garage for a reason, but I think he's making himself look a little silly by not retiring like he has been insisting he is going to for the past several seasons. I could seem him in the NCTS, but Cup? Mark, my dear, hang up your helmet. Don't drag it out for five freakin' years...
Just my opinion!

just like all drivers that "retire" and then move to another team/car/sponser,,,they won't be a factor in any race,, so no he made a bad move,,,should have retired from NASCAR and moved to the truck series like he talked about doing prior to the new ride in a Chevy 01

What the hell is Martin doing getting behind the wheel of a CHEVROLET? I thought he owns a FORD dealership....just goes to show you how disloyal Martin is to Ford. "Those guys at FORD RACING are just so awesome...." blah blah bullshit
He should just retire.....sick of hearing him whining about not "winning"
How can he just stand there with that stupid smirk on his face as they pull Nemechek out of the ARMY car. To make matters worse, I hear he is sharing that ride with David Ragan ?
When he RE-ANNOUNCES that he will retire, once again, maybe he can pull that "Salute to You" crap once again, and rip more people off with those fake retirement "souvenirs"
Joe Nemechek, a superior driver, deserves better.
