Your best bet is to have her spayed. I wouldn't worry to much her not eating, dogs in heat will go off food, and if she's been stressed out that will also make her lose her appetite.
Getting her spayed will take care of any pups she may be pregnant with now, and will avoid this in the future.
Spaying will prevent diseases such as uterine cancer, and pyometra, a uterine infection which can be deadly if not treated promptly. It also reduces her chances of developing mammer cancer as well.

Oh girl, don't listen to the criticism. People love to jump to conclusions sometimes. Accidents happen everyday, all we can do is work through them the best way we can. You didn't send your dog out there, the other dog got to her and even though she tried to run, she wasn't quick enough. This is the pitbull owner's fault, NOT YOURS! They should have kept the dog inside or pinned up...period. There's no need to rush to the vet immediately unless she's bleeding or you see visible tearing or injury. A vet can abort the puppies at anytime during the pregnancy but they may vary by vet on if they have a gestational limit. My sister had to have a abortion done on her cat after she ran out after having an oops litter (much like your situation) that almost killed her and got pregnant again before she could have her spayed. Her litter wasn't even fully weaned so they wouldn't do it yet. So she had no choice but the cat was quite far into the pregnancy before they could do it. Just ignore the bad comments, that's part of it here it seems. Just love your dog, you're trying to do the best you can.

Hi, I didn't see your orginal question or whatever, but here are some sites about free info about animal health problems. I know, I asked some question about being pregnant and not having any money and a job and I got some nasty stuff too. Luckily I got some nice answers though. I try to ignore the nasty remarks.

PS: I know what you mean, some vets just don't care! Like when our puppy was small, she had a terrible ear infection, and my mom was calling all the vets in the area to try to find a remedy, and none of them really cared. The poor thing was crying for 2 days! Luckily she got over it, but it's a shame how some vets are so heartless. But, there are some really good ones out there too.

Hi,
I read this and then went back to read your other question.
I am terribly sorry about your dog. I am also sorry that you feel your vet was blowing you off.
I looked on a number of websites and they all seem to say that she can be safely spayed so she will not have any puppies.
Here is the page from the Oregon Veterinary Medical Association:
http://www.oregonvma.org/petowners/spayneuter.asp#6
Another option to ease your mind might be one of the vets you can find online to answer any specific questions you might have. They'll charge you, but it might make you feel better.
This is one that says they'll answer in 9-15 hours:
http://www.talktothevet.com/
Here is one that charges by the question:

If you google "veterinarian online" you'll get a bunch.
Best wishes and I hope your pup feel better.

Just see the vet next week. She'll be fine. You should have her spayed but the vet will likely want you to wait until she is completely out of season (about another week). There isn't an emergency - just get it done within the next few weeks to prevent a litter of unwanted pups.

You go Girl!!! It is an awful think when your dog gets sick...beware of the high price of med's as well because many times you really don't need them. l found that a diet of fresh cooked meat, chopped veggies, garlic and bran keeps my little sweety on an even keel. Then the few times he has got ill only once did l need to buy meds. Most of the time if you explain that you are not rich vets might give you samples, and the fees might be slightly lower.
[the garlic l give my dog keeps off fleas, you don't need flea powder}
Anyway, you are so correct about rude answers, and you certainly do not deserve to have to read them. You go girl!!!

Just call emergency and they will pick up the stray dog.
The vets are too busy with other desperate animals.
