Average human nature would scorn at this yet God seems to indulge it. Does it happen and if so how can you break it if you have no idea what it is you're trying to break?

Most of you are saying that a person's sin is their own, while this is true it is an inescapable biblical principle that God will judge to the third and fourth generations. God does not wave a magic wand when you accept Jesus and remove everything - we are in a battle and have the power to win but not all christians fight.
My question is how do you break the curse of ancestral sin when you do not even know what it is?

We are all under a curse because of the original sin by Adam and Eve against God.
Fortunately, God sent His Son, Jesus, as a way to salvation by accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior.

If you stop applying that theory to everything bad that happens to you...and start looking at the chain of events leading up to these things, you'll start to see that you're not 'cursed'. It's a matter of....well, sometimes stuff just plain happens, and sometimes your own actions put you in a position for stuff to happen.

Christ died for all of our sins and although we are born with the original sin of Adam and Eve, once we are baptised our sins are erased and any sin thereafter is our own. If you feel as though you are not right with God, pray to him...he will listen.
The short answer...no, you are not punished for your Grandfather's sins.

just one of many examples Mr not very observant. If your Mommy sleeps with you, and you do not tell anyone then when u have kids it is very likely you will hgave sex with one of them, and so on and so forth. Talk to any family counselor you will find there are an abundance of such passed on sin, until nobody even knows why they do it, and whats worse there often are accompai
nying problems some of them in the health area. So yeah our parents pass on the results and the sins and we all suffer because of it.

Yes like the cycle of abuse ect... Of course it is the will of God to redeem people so you have the choice to change that by receiving God's blessing of forgiveness and letting Him change your mind.

No. The idea of inherited punishment is at best foolish, at worst it deprives the vulnerable of the care they need in societies that adopt that principal.

No, You didn't have anything to do with what he did. Each of us will be held for whatever sins we do ourselves, By asking God to forgive you for what you have done + don't keep on doing it, God will forgive you .
