Surely there is information on the web. She was a housewife and mother who got bored with the whole routine. She became a well known comedian with material based on what she knew best--her kids, husband and housework. She wore a crazy blondish wig and ankle boots with high heels and tent dresses. Had a real crazy laugh and skinny, knobby legs. After she got a facelift, she was better looking, but not nearly as funny.

If you do a google search for "phyllis diller" you'll get a lot of answers. She's an interesting lady. You should see some pix, too. Her appearance has been part of her comedic act thru the years.

She is a comedienne who does jokes about not doing housework, plastic surgery, aging and her husband, Fang. She was very popular in the 70's and appeared on lots of variety shows, had her own show for a while and did and still does an act in Vegas. Dhe also had parts in several movies. Funny lady

She was a nightclub comedienne in the '60's who started appearing on the Tonight Show and developed a following. She was in a movie with Bob Hope. Her schtick was to ridicule her husband. Fang, I think she called him. She was a pretty woman but she wore house coats with feathers and ratted her hair so it stuck straight out. I can't imagine why you have to do a report on her. She was a minor cultural figure.

she is a comedian,she has a daughter named Melissa,and her old show used to be a lot of jokes about her husband (fang) not her real husband though,she just used fang) as a tv husband.Her real husband died several years ago,which she went into a deep depression ans didn,t do much for awhile...She had a show this year where she did different things,lots of comedy and her daughter Melissa played with her on the show.Oh she had a lot of face lifts now and she hardly looks like herself anymore,but she is really funny.
