Well, the reason there is suffering in the world is because of reincarnation. How reincarnation works is a person sows then he reaps, but that can take lifetimes. Every life he keeps on sowing new things and reaping new things wether good or bad. The real question is how to escape this cycle. The way i believe is to sit and meditate (listen to God). It is said that "In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God". What is this word??? It is not a book, but the sound of God, the sound that can snatch you from this physical world or burn up this "karma" that creates reincarnation. By putting your attention on it, you burn up this karma which interns helps you escape these cycles of born and death.

uhh ohh no honey. The only place where there is no suffering is heaven, anywhere else is not free of it. There is no such a thing as perfection for us, only JC and my Master have it at the very extreme level. Reincarnations are meant to give us another chance to fix our mistakes, but not all mistakes are possible to be fixed and some mistakes are bound to happen no matter what we do. How you live and what you do in life is your choice, my Master and JC can only give you the choices but you will have to make the choice and live with the consequences. Deal or no deal.

well, people get reincarnated (atleast in Hinduism) because they havn't yet reached the right level of holiness to become one with the one supreme force. so, when they get reincarnated, they could still be cruel, malicious bastards. or, they could be trying their best in every life.
by the way, karma is personal. it essentially means that if you were good in this life, you will be one step closer to moksha (joining the supreme force) in your next life. so really, I don't think bad karma has anything to do with it.
for the record, I personally don't believe in reincarnation, but in theory, it is a pretty decent system, as far as religious concepts go.

Because its garbage. Nobody is coming back as something else. Scripture is very clear:
There is a total of three earth ages: the first has passed - thats the world we had before Adam and Eve came on the scene.
The second is the one we live in now - We are each to go through the first two, once and one time only - the third earth age will be only for those who make it. Born once in the flesh. period.
if somebody says they are reincarnated, and a bunch of crazy stuff comes out of their mouth, quess what: its an evil spirit they are possessed with, and it just prattles on through the mouth of the idiot... There are lots of examples in the Bible of these.

How does the existence of reincarnation *necessarily* reduce suffering? I thought you just got reincarnated until you got it (I'm so far from the end of the road I really haven't stopped to consider what comes after enlightenment).

Reincarnation is a method not only to reward, but to punish, so if you believe in reincarnation, all the bad that is going on now is payback for something done then.
And you are wrong, there used to be WAY more suffering and injustice, We are waking up to all of our mistakes and horrifying things we did only recently, this is why we try not to do it as much anymore.
You only hear about it more now because of media. Media tells us ALL the gory details,
believe me, we are MUCH safer and better off in the world now than ever before.
Read your history. :)

who ever said reincarnation brings back a nicer person? If hitler was reincarnated I would hate to think of what he did in his previous life.
