Well find a comfortable catholic parish close to where you reside. Go visit the parish on a Sunday for Mass. After wards take a bulletin. In the bulletin, you will find phone numbers. Call one of them on Monday and ask to speak with the director of the RCIA [Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults} process. If that person not available ask to speak with the Pastor or his secretary[administrative assistant] Arrange to meet with them at a mutually convient time and place. The process of RCIA will introduce to the Roman Catholic Church and help you form your attitude and evaluation. Peace be with you.

Wow have I got some great new for you. First of all, nobody should be "baptised catholic" or baptised baptist, etc... A person is baptised in the name of God, not baptised to a certain religion.
What i think you really want, is for your son to be blessed, and thats great - this is what you do (this is Biblical, not from a religion) Go to the Acme, and buy a small bottle of virgin olive oil.
Take it home. Put alittle of it in a tiny cup or bowl. Ask God to bless the oil in the precious name of Jesus; and then put just a dot of it on your son's head, and ask the Lord to bless, protect and keep him - add in whatever else you wish to say. Thats it.
Your son is anointed and blessed. Does the oil have some special healing and protecting power? Absolutely not. You are using the oil in obedience to your Father (God), and its that obedience that God favors. Some religions do not even do any anointing anymore - I don't know why. This practice was NEVER done away with by God. "Christ" means "the anointed one".
You do this, and don't worry about becoming Catholic. When your son is of age to be accountable for his decisions, then that is the time for him to be baptized, but to God, not to a church system. I hope this is helpful.

well you can go to RCIA, where you'll learn about the teachings of the catholic church(cathecism) and then convert.
or i think if you can find catholic god parents(people who kinda vouge for your baby at the baptism) then i think he can still be baptised even if you're not catholic.
EDIT
penny mae- are you serious? where does it say protestant in the bible? or trinity? try to use common sense, the catholic church was set up AFTER the bible was written. btw the entire bible is man made, it didnt just fall out of the sky.
and as for the babies being baptised, i think Jesus saying 'suffer the children to me' (let the children come to me) is a sufficent justification.
and once again, obviosly there are no children baptised in the bible since christianity was new and everyone was a convert.

He already is blessed by God. Your son is a child and innocent. He doesn't need to be baptized until he is old enough to know right from wrong. My children made the decision when they were 9 and 8 years of age to accept Jesus as their Lord. If you have a church that you go to, put him in Bible classes. They have fun, basic Bible story telling and lessons for preschool children at most churches now. Start him on the road to Christianity so he will be able to make a decision when he is older.
God Bless and Merry Christmas.

Why do you care whether or not he's baptised Catholic? Do you imagine that Catholics have a better lock on truth than protestants, presbyterians, baptists, 7th day adventists, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists or Pagans? They dont. Its just another religion. Don't contaminate your baby's mind by having him brought up in ANY religion. Teach him to read and think and examine his world and let him make his own decision about his spirituality (or lack of it) when he's ready INSTEAD of pre-programming him with all that official religious establishment crap.

FIRST you should consider this....WHERE in God's inspired word do you ever SEE or Hear About CATHOLICS?
NO WHERE, They are not mentioned at all in The Holy Bible only in the Catholic MAN MADE BOOKS, Revelation 22
Only GOD can Bless you Only God can save you. Only the Gospel of Christ can save you. Or your son when he has reached an age of accountability.

Go to catechism.
A catechism (καÏηÏηÏικÏÏ in Greek) is a summary or exposition of doctrine, traditionally used in Christian religious teaching from New Testament times to the present.[1] Catechisms are doctrinal manuals often in the form of questions followed by answers to be memorized, a format that has sometimes been used in non-religious or secular contexts as well.[2] A popular name for secular catechisms is FAQ, that is Frequently Asked Questions.
Catechesis is an elementary form of religious instruction, typically oral, and traditionally under the guidance of a parent, pastor or priest, religious teacher, or other individuals in church roles (including a deacon, religious brother or sister, or nun) who poses set questions and prompts students (or disciples) toward understanding the answers given. Catechetics is the practice of this kind of instruction, or the study of it, including training in such instruction. [1] A catechist is one who engages in such religious instruction.

There's not much to it. They'll make you go to some classes, and then after a few months, they'll have you make confirmation with a bunch of 8th graders or something like that. Nothing to be embarrassed about though.
I don't know you, so forgive me for questioning your motives for conversion. They say converting for someone else is not a good reason. .. even if it's for your child.
But you know what's best for you, so good luck!

only romans can really be catholic they only let you into church to donate money. its like only italians can be MADE MEN.
save your money become a good anglican and support the crown who has the power to put even MADE men into jail. apparently Goodfellas shows that.
or even Islam which hides this fact is better for non romans and non italians
Islam=I Is larri sealed together

I recommend going to the church you are planning on attending and talking to the priest. You're going to have to anyway. Converting is based on taking RCIA (adult catechism) classes. Your son will probably be baptised as soon as you present him, because he is young.
God bless!
