We call it chappie or chap door run away. Have you ever done a catsy or a cat walk? You start at the bottom of your street and go through all your neighbours gardens until you get to the top without getting a window banged or caught.

Have you ever picked a lucky leaf??

Harmless means:
1 : free from harm, liability, or loss
2 : lacking capacity or intent to injure

If I'm taking a nap and a disrespectful child knocks on my door and wakes me, the child has caused me to wake and lose sleep! Same could be applied if your toddler has just fallen asleep after 1 hour of coercing him to and a "rat-a-tat" bandit, wakes your child. This is comparable to loss of sleep AND loss of temper! ;-)

This are just two examples that it can cause a loss; therefore, it is not harmless.

:-)

We used to do this all the time when we were kids.Great fun for the kids, really annoying for the householder. We called it Knock & Run and a really good dare was to do it several times on the same house. We usually pushed too far and got caught. As swift slap on the head followed - we never complained.
