So, a quick Googling will bring up scores of sites on how to SAY happy birthday in dozens of languages. But where can I get the whole happy birthday SONG in Ukrainian? Somewhere I can hear an audio file of it would be ideal, esp. if it's a different tune than the way we sing it in America.

Thanks sooo much in advance, answerers!

Well, I like this one! I'm Amer living in Ukr, so there are greater authorities than me around, but I've never heard a 'happy bday' song here, other than the Amer one translated (same tune) into Ukie... Here's my take on it (accented syllables in caps)... for what it's worth. If you have Encarta Encyclopedia, I believe they have a lang section that translates common words/phrases into a target lang... you could listen to that to at least get the way to say 'Happy Birthday'... Also, the 'do-ro-HEEEE' part (where we'd normally put the person's name) I simply translated into the feminine form of 'Dear', assuming that you intend this for a female... if not, don't do it! (masc would be 'do-ro-HO-mu')

Z dnem na-ROAD-djennya to-BEE
Z dnem na-ROAD-djennya to-BEE
Z dnem na-ROAD-djennya to-BEE
Z dnem na-ROAD-djennya do-ro-HEEEE
Z dnem na-ROD-djennya to-BEE

You would say "Mnohaya Lita!" - which is wishing them "many years" - there is a song which would be sung, hoping God would grant them many years.
