ok when i shave my legs i get these dots all over them...ii have searched and searched and not found any way to prevent this from happening.
can anyone tell me if there is a way to reduce the apearance of these dots? i beleive they are large pores or the fact that the skin on my legs is realli light and i have thick dark hair..is there a solution to this problem? i do shave the right way btw

i've tried waxing and lotion. Lotion by the way is even worse. Waxing doesn't get rid of the dots but causes the hair to come back so much smoother and slower. But i don't have that kind of time to wax it all the time!

Well you don't need to wax all the time. Only like every 8 weeks. or 4-8 weeks. The reason you get those dots is because you use a bad razor. Dont use disposable razors. They are bad. Try an electric one. I used one and thought it would cut me but actually its better and doesnt cut you! You use theshaving cream right? Well make sure you use it and dont just use water or something. The razor is the problem.Try the electric Venus Vibrance.Shaving is not bad for you.
Dont laser. Not worth it.

Those dots are razor burn. They could have been caused by dull razor.Try rubbing alcohol on your legs to get rid of the dots.I know your problems with having thich dark hair and how shaving is an issue.Try mens razors there made way sharper.
best wishes

Yes, I have noticed these on some girls. I haven't started shaving yet b/c 1) I'm not that hairy nobody's gonna really observe ur legs really 2) it'll just grow thicker and thicker and you'll have to shave it more often
'kay, to answer your ?, I would say to try using nair or somthing like that b/c it won't be as pokey

shaving is not the best way to get rid of unwanted hair..try using an epilator or hair removal cream like veet. veet for sensitive skin is the best option. its not irritant n hair do not grow back thicker as in shaving. as for the spots visit a dermtaologist n if u wish to wear skirts , use a foundtion for temporary cover-up. dont irritate ur skin to much or it can get worse

Try chemical removal with bleach. Need to try one brand at a time and see hoe it works.
Waxing is more painful may have same result if the Follicle with slight hair stays in.

I have the same problem and have not found a solution. The only thing that sort of helps it have a tan, use self tanner or tanning lotion.

I have the same problem. What I do is shave my legs in the morning and at night, it really helps.

Its called razor rash and its probily caused by the fact that your razor isn't sharp enough, or you shave to ofen. Try getiing a new razor and see if it helps. the Shik Intuition helps prevent theese.

they are blocked follicles.. after a shave or eplilator its best to use a scrub and exfoiliate your skin and seal in a moisturiser,Its dry skin cell that get locked up in the follicles caucing the dots...
