It is mostly peaceful but there are 2 main parts of Islam approximately 95% of the muslims are sunni and 5% shiite. shiites believe in the ancient tradition of using violence to promote their religion. sunni's are relatively peaceful. almost all the shiites are found in the Iran, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia area. I am not a Muslim and do not believe Islam is the way to God, so therefore I'm not defending Islam. I just think that there is enough violence caused by the shiites to give Muslims a stereotype of being violent.

ISLAM Is only about peace and love, you dont know what ur saying you just want us muslims to get angry with you, just for ur info ur president ruined everything what islam really means, and created the whole stupid terrorist thing, we have the best religion and islam is peacful weather u like it or not.
