Well, if you go biblically...

People have flaws. People create problems. People cause the increased rate of CO2, methane, and CFC emissions. People will cause their own distruction because we are inherantly flawed and that is how super cool we all are.

If you are waiting for God to save you or end it all, you might want to stop debating and start taking it into your own hands. You were given a brain for a reason, start using it.

Global warming might end our world, but not end THE world. No matter how much heat green house gasses will trap, something will survive on this planet. Global warming will be a huge problem for lots of people, flooding coastal regions, turning good farmland into desert, but not everyone will die.
As for god, well, my position is that he does not exist, and if he did, he probably have better things to do than end the world.
One thing we know for sure: in a few billion years, the sun itself would have gone so much hotter that all the ocean will boil away, and the atmosphere will be stripped from Earth. THAT will be the end of the world.

A supernova will end the world. Global warming will just end our time on it. The world will still go on without us; it doesn't care. Life will still go on in some form or another.

As far as the biblical angle, I don't think so. Perhaps there will be apocalyptic events that could mirror some of the "prophecies" in the bible, but that's mostly because the events mentioned are general enough and happen again and again throughout history that it wouldn't be surprised if they were "fulfilled." And, of course, there's certainly always the chance that some nut could decide to act them out consciously.
