Good question. I've been wondering how we can have religious freedom when Christians shove their beliefs down everybody's throats. What REALLY scares me is that they don't even realize how repulsive and offensive they are being.

On the contrary. This may not be an answer you want, but I will Since separation of Church and State has become a veritable "steamroller" in society, the me generation has become a predominant function today. You say, how so? The individuals right to do what ever they want without being censored has become commonplace. If even it effects others negatively the one individual has the rights. My evaluations have seen whereby.... A teenager with a t-shirt that says Jesus is my Saviour is a violation and cannot be worn in public schools. A teenager that wears a Rapper t-shirt with a picture of the individual having a gun down the front of his pants and "shooting" the finger, is a freedom of expression and can be worn even though it is a message for obscenity to each individual that sees it. Yes we have become more selfish. I do not know how old you are, but once you have seen changes and how they came about over a 40 year period, then you can make judgement. Your analogy is more or less a desperate attempt to point and accuse rather than be informed. In God We Trust was used much earlier than 1957. When society as a whole works together it works better. Wouldn't you agree?

God is everywhere it is true and we have a right to worship and seek Him through the religion of our choice. He Himself gave us the right. We can't be persecuted for our beliefs here legally. It is illegal to discriminate based on religion. That is a beautiful thing about this country. Of course it is far from perfect but what if we were in a society like Afghanistan when the Taliban was in power.

We do have religious freedom. I don't feel particulary threatened by other beliefs (I am agnostic). In order to live in a democracy you have to tolerate other people's lifestyle choices and opinions. I feel that I have the freedom to not worship as I choose, and I am happy with that. If you think it's bad here you should visit some Muslim countries.

You have the freedom to accept the bucket or pass. True freedom given by God Almighty. Praise be to Him and His Son Jesus Christ our Savior.

You may have any religion you want, just do not try telling us that we can't. Personally, I don't care if you worship the porcelain god, just do not try and tell me that God has no place in this country. USA!
