we all want to stay friends with our ex partners, but you need to take a 4-6 month break from communication.

you can't have a normal friendship when the wounds of your break up are still fresh. there is a combo of anger, frustration, sadness, etc.. you gotta take a break and move on with your life.

once you're totally over him and have no emotional attachments, then you can try to be friends..

trust me, this is the only way it has ever worked for me..

i had to take a 8 month break from communicating with one of my ex girlfriends, but it worked. we got back in touch and she has been one of my best friends for the past 7 years! i love her as a friend and always will..

When you give more than you get, it ends in bankruptcy. Take a break and bein to focus on you. Happiness gained from external soruces will not endure. You must first find contenment and happiness within yourself.

Hang in there, it sounds like you are more addicted to him than anything else. This will ease up and pass in time.

Start getting excited about your trip!
Who knows you may just meet the love of your life in another country.
