"tots brut" is good for the price, under 10 bucks. Andre is another, for about the same price.

RE:
I am lloking to buy a cheap bottle of champagne. What are some good champagnes for a cheap price.?
I want something that when you drink you think it would be a bit more expensive. Something that really tastes good.

You probably won't find an actual Champagne (From France) for less than $30.00. I would recommend some excellent sparkling wines, That are pretty much the same as Champagne.
The previous answer that mentions Chandon, you can find a really good bottle of Chandon, like Blanc de noirs for around $20.00.
My favorite bottle of Sparkling wine, is called Pink. It is made by Yellow Glen. It is made in Australia, and usually retails for $10.00. Everyone I have ever suggested it to has been extremely happy.
Gloria Ferrer has some really great sparkling wines, and run around $20.00 also.
Mumm Napa runs around $15.
I really would Choose Pink as my top choice. Let me know what you think. Cheap enough you can buy a bottle just to try before you serve it to other people. There is also one called Yellow, by Yellow Glen, but I prefer the Pink. It comes in a Black bottle with Hot Pink writing.

I like all wines and I like champagne very much and have tried a lot of it. I've had Dom Perignon to White Star to those California sparkling wines that market themselves as champagne. Personally, I love Moet Chandon White Star (about $40 a bottle) probably more than Dom for the taste and value (Dom tastes just a little better but not $60 better than White Star). The best cheap sparkling wine though is the Spanish "champagne".... it is called cava. For anywhere from $10-$20 you can get a great cava. Seriously. Cava can be just as good as champagne. And yes, you can easily get drunk on any sparkling wine. The alcohol content is on average of 12.5%.

Depends on what you mean by cheap. You can get Korbel for until $10 and it's pretty good or you can go with Mumm Napa Valley and can find it for about $17 to $20 and I really like it (as does my hubby and he doesn't like champagnes). FYI..if you want to sound really smart: it can only be called Champagne if it's from the Champagne region of France. All other is called sparkling wine.

There's no such thing as cheap champagne. You must be thinking about the sparkling white wine that is allowed to masquerade as 'champagne' in the USA. Champagne i.e. made in the Champagne region of France with the appropriate appelation will start at around $25 per bottle, with decent bottles starting around $40.

Mumm Napa Cuvee M blue label. Usually $15 or so. Very popular wine at most winery events here in the Napa area for the price and quality.
Domaine St. Michelle has a bunch in the $10 - $15 level. Their blanc de noirs is quite tasty.
Neither are champagne, but sparkling wine done in the french methode champenoise made in California and Washington.

Brut and Asti Spumanti are about the most cheap champagnes you can buy. Go to a supermarket or liquor store with a decent wine selection. Check what the price is on the Brut-caliber stuff and select a California sparkling wine that costs only a little more.

Chandon, it's a rose champagne made in California, parent company is Moet and Chandon from france, is about $30 ish per bottle and is very good, if your budget is smaller... Totts is <$10 and is ok, if you like sweet champagne Asti is good, Chandon is dry and tastes pricey!

Totts is actually REALLY bad. Korbel brut is probably the cheapest I would go. It's still got the quality there for a low price. I would prefer Chandon, but it does cost a little bit more (around $25-30)
