I am not getting any excercise and I like cycling but cant cycle where I live. Is there any easy way to make my bike into an excercise bike. I know i need to lift one of the wheels off the ground but what would be a good/easy way to do that?

I know what you mean I have just come back from nigeria, you can buy special stands to use, but you are more likely to have a local workshop make something, we had one on the ship in Nigeria, difficult to get stuff out to africa
Use some angle irons or flat bar to make a sturdy stand that you can bolt the back axle onto , you need something then to make the resistance on the last ship i was on they used small rubber wheels (two approximately 250mm diameter) type you can get on a small trolley, does make the whole thing quite high though.
Best to make some sort of groove in the wheels to avoid the whole thing being to unstable

there used to be a triangular piece of metal that you could buy that hooked the back wheel of the bike so you could peddle in stationary mode.But the back wheel moved freely the whole time. I am sure there would be an easy way to make it. Check with someone with a metal shop, or knows how to work with angle iron.

You can do this with a variety of rear wheel resistance stands, but you would be better off and it would be cheaper to buy a stationary bike.

Get 2 metal props and put under the spindle of the rear wheel, dig a hole under the rear wheel and you will be able to pedal without going anywhere..;

you can buy a bracket that attaches to the back wheel of your bike. the bracket has rollers attached - the back wheel of your bike sits on the rollers and they control the tension. you can buy them from a good cycle shop and probably on line. have fun

Longer, perhaps a month. And do sit down-united statesand leg-lifts, you will end-up with in simple terms a 4-%. in case you do no longer use your decrease abs. additionally for abs, you do no longer want that lots weight curls, chest presses will help your bigger abs slightly so shop doing those chest presses.
