A guy at work has been flirting with me for 2 years. He flirts with other women, but says stuff to me that he doesn't say to them, compliments me, helps me with stuff & drops hints that he likes me. He claims to be single, but people have seen him with this other woman at work. According to some people, they're just friends. I started to fall for him a year ago. 2 months ago, my work mate told me she knew i liked him by the way i acted with him. I got paranoid & thought if she knew, so might he. I didn't want to cause trouble between him & his so called girlfriend, if she is his girlfriend, so i stopped flirting with him & i couldn't look at him when he came near. He hasn't flirted with me as much the past 2 months either, maybe cos of that. The last 2 years, he put 'love from' in my Christmas card, but this year he put 'from', although he put 'love from' in someone elses. But after he gave me it he still came over to talk & keeps staring over. Is he messing with my head?

You're making it harder on yourself and dating in the workplace is no easy task. You can't go by the he say and she say stuff. Let this man know what you think of him and find out for yourself if he is available or not.
You want him to come to you, but when you pull back by stopping your flirting you are sending he message that you are no longer interested. Stop the madness.
Find out the truth from him and move on accordingly. But remember you're at work, so there will be some limitations while in the workplace.

No, he's not messing with your head. I think he just doesn't want you to get the wrong idea. Why did you just assume that he was going out with that other girl? He wasn't tied down. That's why he flirted with so many women. He gave you the impression that he liked you, it seems. So you should have acted on it and asked him out ages ago. I don't know what you can do now. Just keep talking to him as a friend. Maybe ask if he's going out with that other chick. But leave it at that. The reason I want you to ask is to try to find out what she said to him (if anything). If she likes him, she would have been trying to drive him away from you as soon as she heard that you liked him. Anyway, don't get your hopes up. I don't think he's single anymore. Good luck!
