Because its really boring. You have to come up with a new angle once in a while like making wisecracks or telling everybody they are fantastic.

Because it's starting to feel like beating one's head against a brick wall?
And because, at least here, there appears to be a shortage of consideration and civility?
(Yes, there are honourable exceptions)

I asked a question (still open) about achieving a better level of debate, even if it was quirkily worded, but compared to my other attempts it has attracted minimal input.

Perhaps because you saw how some people wanted to debate just to mock others. Or perhaps you saw how people just wanted to talk, talk talk about their beliefs without ever taking a chance to listen to you. There are a lot of indecent and disrespectful people out there.

perhaps a change of pace will do you good. I am answering in three areas rather than just here - mythology and holidays are the other two as I need a " change of pace " so I alternate between these three. might want to try doing the same thing.

Perhaps because each page here is a repeat of its predecessors.

It gets a tad boring seeing the same questions over and over, but now and then I see an original concept, and it is that hope which keeps me coming back.

Why do you feel that you had to in the first place? some Christian denominations have their congregation programmed to do this but it is a common fallacy that if you are not talking about then you are not living it,I think it is the other way around if you are talking too much you are not walking.
Keep your faith but let your light shine through your Christian action and you will feel much happier in yourself.

Debating religion is really a pretty negative thing. It is better to work on developing Faith.

Maybe you're an atheist and you've decided hitting your head off a brick wall by debating with people immersed in absurd dogma loses it's appeal after a while.

You've probably finally figured out that you're never going to change the minds of most people.

Me too. It gets repetitions after a while, what with the same old argurments. Besides most people here aren't open to new ideas, they just want you to be open to theirs.
