What exactly does anorexia mean? Some people say it is not eating at all(which i call a fast) but others say that it is a person overweight. All my friends say that anorexia is somene who is overweight....but i know that it is not but they keep telling me it is. They all said that is what their parents taught them....is that really what anorexia means?

It's not necessarily not eating at all, but eating very, very little because a person wants to lose a lot of weight. It's a mental condition, because a person with anorexia, no matter how skinny they get, always thinks that they're fat.
I have no idea where your friends got their idea, but it's not right.
Also, a quote from a website: "Anorexia is an eating disorder where people starve themselves. Anorexia usually begins in young people around the onset of puberty. Individuals suffering from anorexia have extreme weight loss."
