They are built in Mexico and based off the Mazda 6 platform. They are pretty nice cars for the money and are available with a 4cyl that is rather inexpensive. They replaced the Taurus in the Ford lineup. What else would you like to know? I hope this helps?

Are you in India?
The fusion in India comes at about 6.5Lakhs on road. it is made completely in Bangkok/Thailand and the kits are assembled in Chennai. So spares may be a concern here, though Ford has openly claimed that spares will come at 'local' prices.
It is a very intelligently designed vehicle that was overpriced to start with and did not come with the diesel option. But now that the palio 1.6 is almost nonexistent the Fusion is the cheapest 1.6Liter petrol vehicle around. it is the perfect size for the city and outside if you are a small family. As a matter of fact the Nissan X-Trail is only a little bigger than the Fusion and costs 4 times as much. Because of the size, driving height and the width, it feels like a woman's SUV :)
Don't buy in silver. It looks the most boring. Black or the burgundy red are better colours. But you might want to put in about 2L more money and buy the base version of the Scorpio.

I would wary of them for several reasons:
Ford product reliability is all over the spectrum
Depreciation is likely to be high
If you are financing most of the price, you will be behind
The 4 cylinder versions are not overly refined
It does have several things going for it:
Good car for the money
Way better than the Taurus
Rides and handles well
decent interior
Mazda 6 mechanicals
Honda and Toyota are still the best bets out there. I would not do a loaded ($25000++) up version of the Fusion as you can get a better car for the money. If you are doing a base 4 cylinder and can get into it for $16000-$17000, it is tough to beat for the money.

The Ford Fusion-
1. It looks good.
2. It has a good mileage.
3. It is spacious.
4. It also has a good pick up.
Bad-
1. It has to be taken for servicing many times. Maintenance is expensive and painful.

I've test driven the fusion. Considering the competition, it's on par with the hondas, toyotas, etc. But it's far less expensive. If I was in line to buy a mid-sized car, I'd buy it without hesitation. And for me to say that...let's just say, that's saying something.

WALK AWAY FROM IT> I had one, and I got rid of it, and went to a chevy impala.. Much better car for the money, and much more comfrontable. I got sold at the dealer about it, well never again. They are a bad car. I had nothing but problems from day one. Dont even lookt at it. If you do not like chevys, next best option is a honda or a volkswagon.

the automobile with the utmost share of yank made components isn't made by making use of the huge 3 (GM, Ford, Chrysler) the producer is Hyundai. The Sonata is assembled with close to to eighty% of yank made components. The components at the instant are not added her and assembled in the U.S. Hyundai asked lots of its providers to open factories to make the climate close to their plant in Alabama. All you need to do is circulate to Sir Bernard Law and force around and notice all their providers.

I have a friend who's had one for about a year now and he really likes it. He said it is very comfortable and a good car for the money. He has had no problems with it. It is a very sharp looking car too.

great looking car but I would wait until it has been out for at least a year before I bought one, too many problems with brand new vehicles the first year of production.
