Know that in a couple of years you won't have to be slaving like that and you'll be able to look back at the struggle you endured to get where you are. Plus, you'll have a bigger appreciation for those in the service industry...a quality that is indeed rare. :)

It's your choice. Change your thinking and change your life! If you look at your job as an opportunity to help people and stay in shape because you are on your feet all day - you'll have a great attitude. If you go into work wanting strangle somebody and believing that retail sucks and your feet hurt - then that's just what will happen. Your choice! I know you'll choose the perfect one!

Anticipate peoples needs, if you can do it before they ask it saves you the stress of being snarled at impresses the heck out of customers maximizing tips. If all else fails remember the golden rule, do unto others as you would have done unto you. Being waited on by someone who clearly wishes you hadn't come in to their section can ruin someone eles day and that is not at all in line with the spirit of the holidays. Good Luck and keep smiling.

LOL I know *that* feeling!
Step 1: Carry a camera phone.
Step 2: Take pictures of the customers who really peeve you bad
Step 3: At home, print the pictures out
Step 4: Buy some darts and a red marker
Step 5: Find a spot of wall you won't mind a few small holes in
Or, you could just blissfully smile at them, and when they leave kick some inanimate object. That's what I used to do...

In all things you do in word or deed, do all unto your Lord Jesus Christ. Also, keep in mind that there is great reward for those who serve greatly.
Overcome the desire to strangle with love. Love God and love others. Speak love out loud to replace any hate thoughts. Speak Gods promises out loud to replace any destructive thoughts.
