Although I don't know much about enema's i can't think of why and 11 year old would need one, however I could be wrong. Because she is 11 and most likely close to the puberty age I believe you need to make a conscience decision as to wether or not to be with her, this may be something you should speak over with her. I am not sure if the process is painful, but I imagine it may be uncomfortable and unusual. I have included some links about enemas that will hopefully help, good luck.

Why wouldn't you choose to just buy an over the counter one from a drug store and do it yourself? I would think it would be more tramatic if a doctor or nurse had to do it than a parent.
As a parent you have every right to stay with your child.
They will fill a bag with a solution, add a tip to the end of the bag.
Insert the tip of the nozzle into the anus and squeeze the bag.
The contents of the bag and bowel will come out, it would be easier if you did this in a bath tub, the docs will most likeley have a basin for the contents to drain into.
You may want to pack some panty liners with you to avoid any messes on the way home.

No, it Doesn't;t hurt it is just a warm water and whatever they put in there and you hold it as long as you can. It is plastic small device inserted in the rectum. It doesn't hurt at all. Yeah you can stay with her they do it in the room. What it does is make you have a bowel movement , she can walk to the rest room , it is just real small procedure. When you had your little girl didn't they give a enema while prepped you.

it's different now....
intead of the old fashioned way rectally they give you an enema drink that makes you poop in about 10 min.
Of course your doctor may do it the way it's always be done...
it will be uncomortable for a few min.
All it is is they squirt water in your butt to make you poop.
I don't see why the doctor wouldn't let you stay in the room but then again it may be embarrasing for her for you to be there.
these days when a procedure like that is done there is also a nurse in the room also to insure no sexual abuse takes place.
tell her not to worry she'll be fine.

I'm pretty sure you can stay with her. I've done it when I was young. It's just pressure inside your bum, and it feels like you really have to poop afterward, but you have to hold it in for a few minutes. It does not hurt, but it's just uncomfortable. Let her know to relax, because that makes it easier (I didn't, and that did not help!) It does not last that long at all. Not to worry, it will help her feel better within a few minutes! :)

The doctor should allow you to stay with her because she's so young. It should not hurt.
