Hi I'm Sparticus. Some homosexuals fear God and some don't. Some people who cheat on their income taxes fear God and some don't, some people who lie about their age fear God and some don't. Some people who sin fear God and some who sin couldn't care less.
What I'm saying is, I don't know of any reason to think that gays are any more anti-God than anyone else. Yes homosexuality is sinful, but no more sinful than stealing, cheating, adultery, lying or any other sin. Christ gives us good news about those who are sick in their sins. In Mark 2:17 Jesus tells us:
"On hearing this, Jesus said to them, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners."

bcos they have misunderstood what is said in the
Bible. I am a Christian. i am straight.
i am not homophobic.
in the Bible it says that to love another man in the same way as a woman is an abomination.
this does not mean that the people who do it are an abomination.
it is hard to explain other than.......
God is love.
try to understand a love that would send His son, His only son
into the world....to die, horribly.
ultimate beauty, beaten, broken and then murdered.
it is almost incomprehensible.
u cannot tell me that a love like that would just shut the door
in certain people's faces bcos they love each other and
they happen to b of the same sex.
God never lays down the law. He gives people a free will.
it is one of the most profound mysteries of the love of God.
and yet one of the first promises He ever gave.
The part about the abomination was old testament.
Jesus was the New and overriding one, in Himself.
God does not hate people for "sinning"
not even murderers
God hates people hurting themselves.
Bcos it hurts Him.
We all know that homosexuality can lead to disease
and death. That particular type of sex is not unique to homosexual men. we know that too.
but it is still a bit like playing Russian roulette.
If my son embarked on something likely to kill him
i would be prepared to die to try and stop him.
God cannot do that. but He already has.
This is the deepest and most profound meaning of the cross.
Jesus died to show all that there is a way to life. He died to show the way to God by giving all that He had.
God would never shut the door in anyone's face unless they have committed the ultimate sin, for which there is no forgiveness. we cannot be sure exactly what that is.
but homosexuality is NOT it.
when the desires of the flesh have subsided, i know that God is still waiting as the loving Father that He really, truly is.
the safer the sex, outside marriage, the better.

It may not be thet gays are Anti-God, but simply that they find it difficuly to affirm a belief system that says it is Christian and at the same time seems to affirm hatred of people. In any situation if a group of people constantly told another person how evil they were and that they had no chance of being loved, that person would probably not associate with them. It does not sound like God is the problem, but some people's portrayal of God to them. There are probably many more believers among those who accept themselves as gay than most people think. That some gays might be anti-God in their public pronouncements based on a sense of shame could well be true, but that indicate a very solid belief in God combined with a low estimation of self. Historically Christianity has had, until recent centuries, a much more compassionate approach to those who cannot live according to some common norms. And even in the worst case scenario it has always been "judge not lest you be judged" concerning another's relationship with God. Knowing something is sinful/wrong/forbidden and choosing to do so anyway is individual sin. One cannot in any way really know what the other knows, nor what degree of "choosing" the other has at his/her disposal. The rate of belief in God among gays is probably the same or maybe even better than in the general population.

I would say that it is difficult to say that most homosexuals are anit-god. Generally, the term anti-god is a broad term. Atheists don't believe in a god or gods. But, most atheists are not anti-god. Meaning they don't dislike god because he does not exist to them. Now, in the U.S. only about 10% of the population are atheists. The rest of the population believes in some other form of god (theists). The most popular in the U.S. is the Christian religion. So, odds are that most homosexuals probably believe in some sort of god. I don't know if there are any polls out there that support that most homosexuals are "anti-god". But, my conclusion would be that most believe in some sort of god based on popular belief in one and the fact that if they don't believe in a god they are probably atheists. Versus believing in a god and hating it.

If you believe in God, you gotta start by thinking that you can't do anything you want, instead you'll have to do something which your boss tells you, God in this case and you'll have to do what He tells you to do even if you disagree with Him.
It's a fact, God doesn't accept homosexuality, it even says some textual parts in the Bible that He doesn't. Nevertheless before the eyes of God we're all equal, no matter who we are and He will judge each one of us, still people as Christians mustn't support and take homosexuality as something good, because God forbids it, but that DOESN'T mean that we have to judge them and make their life impossible. Jesus spent most of his time with people who sinned, not with people who were saved.

personally, i dont see any connection or relation between sexuality and religious devotion & belief.
I have known many athiests who are straight & I have known homosexuals who have a deep belief in God.
so, these two things are not necessarily related. Although Homosexuals may react aversely to abrahamic religious ideologies (christianity, islam & judaism) which preach that homosexuality is a sin.. Many other religions in the world donot think this way.
But still, there is no connection between the two. you can find counter-examples in both straight & gay people.

I'm homosexual, and I'm not anti-God.
But, the answer to your question is simple: for years, Christianity has been (unjustly) condemning homosexuals. So the homosexuals feel that if God isn't going to accept them, then screw God.
I have done a LOT of research into homosexuality and Christianity, and would be more than willing to share my information with anyone interested. You can email me from my profile.

I think its a train of thought.
1. Most Homosexuals were brought up Christian, just like the rest of the world that is nearly 80% Christian.
2. Homosexuals know that there are obviously anti gay statements in the Bible.
3. This in turn makes them doubt the rest of the Bible.
4. This in turn makes them doubt religion as a whole.

Another FALSE assumption. Homosexuality is common amongst Christians and Clergy alike. It is likely that thinking about the persecution they suffer from "caring Christians", has lead them to realise that there is no God, and religion is a falsehood for fools.

Why are so many religious fundamentalists anti-homosexual? Is it a guilt thing?
A high proportion of priests are shirtlifters!
