what do you atheists expect after you die?

It's hard to say. It's the final mystery. I used to think that I'd go out of existence, but I don't know. I like to think that my mental states are more than just chemical reactions in my brain, and if that's the case it would be weird to think that a mental state could go out of existence. Since matter isn't created or destroyed, only changed, I think a mental state would just change.

I've been told that I'm going to a "burning lake of fire".
Probably. I expect I'll be cremated.
And the food in my fridge will go bad.
And the bank will continue to charge my account outrageous service fees.
And junk mail will continue to arrive addressed to me.

My relatives will have a funeral party and dispose of the remains. Cremation is likely. I will likely be missed by some, for a while, and the world will keep turning.

Im not an athiest, But an agnostic. No one knows what to expect when they die.

I've been called an athiest but don't believe I am. However I'd like to answer your question. I believe when you die that's it. I don't believe in afterlife or reincarnation.

Nobody knows what will happen after death. Christians or other religions can preach what they think will happen, but they cannot know it if they are still alive. People can only speculate about what happens after death.
