Boys are by far worse at three than two. In fact most children are worse at three than two.

Thats my experience after raising two brothers and doing a slew of nannying stints.

i don't have any kids but i have worked with 2 year olds and 3 year olds at a preschool for a few years. honestly, if you find that a boy is tough at 2, they'll get easier by age three. But if a boy if easy at 2, they may completely change by age 3. Like you said each child is different. For potty training, boys are a little harder to train than girls. Boys may not be trained until age 3 or 4. Hope this helps!

I'm not sure. i have a 2 1\2 yr old daughter. My if three is anything like 2 I'm going to scream, I have enough trouble with the age 2 already. But i guess kids are all different to some degree. 3 might be more relaxed for some kids then age 2. I don't know all kids are different in their own little way.

I think that at three most kids are difficult to some degree. Part of it is our expectation that since they are two they should be better behaved and that they aren't "toddlers" anymore so they should act like a child. Part of it is their stage of development. They are old enough to know right from wrong but still don't fully understand the logic or they are impulsive and know how to test their limits. It's like having a "tween" stage in toddlerhood.

Boys tend to mature more slowly than girls, so this stage may last longer. They also tend to be a little less verbally expressive than girls and that adds to their frustration. However, I can tell you that my daughter was much more terrible at three than my son, so I think a lot of it is tempermant as well.
