Everyone (Christians) are always talking bout when Christ returns and makes everything peaceful. I know this is going to sound stupid but ... if it is true, what would life be like? Better ... obviously, but (okay this is going to sound stupid) but will life still be like the way it is now? Like going to WalMart or driving to work each day and getting a coffee from Starbucks? Or will all that be gone and everything would be like "back then"?

Nothing. Something that was not here in the first place cannot return.

That is an astoundingly good question! Better than most that I've heard on here...

Revelation says that He will rule for 1000 years on earth here, with a "rod of iron" - meaning that democracy, socialism, monarchy, all these forms of government will cease to be. We will be under what is called a "theocracy" - a government ruled by God.

Life will probably be simpler in those days for most of us. Our main focus of life will have shifted from personal acquisition to just plain simple living. Farms, friends, great worship services etc.

Revelation says that, after the 1000 years, satan will be loosed and go out to try and deceive the world. He will mass an army of people who don't want to live the way the rest of the earth is living. And God will just take him down.

What you have described is the worldly 'christians' view. The Biblical view is that this is describing the false christ, who is satan disguised as christ. According to the Bible, Danial and Revelation (mostly), when Christ comes He will raise the dead who died in Him (all of them all at once), and they and the Saints (those who have lived through the time of trouble) will meet Him in the air (Christ will not set foot upon this earth at this time, although the false christ will), when Christ and the saved and,of course, the heavenly angels, leave this earth the only thing left alive will be satan and his angels, not because Jesus can not kill them, but because it is not time yet to do so. And no, not even a cockroach will survive.

When Jesus comes again, Armageddon will take place, and what is Armageddon?

GOD IS NOT GOING TO DESTROY THE EARTH, THE EARTH SOMETIME IN THE NEAR FUTURE WILL BECOME A GARDEN OF EDEN OR PARADISE WHERE PEOPLE CAN LIVE IN PEACE & SECURITY.

ARMAGEDDON IS SIMPLY HIS WAR TO CLEAN THE EARTH OF WICKED PEOPLE & ALL BAD THINGS THAT EXIST, & PEOPLE WHOSE WORSHIP IS UNACCEPTABLE TO HIM.

Why, though, would God wage a global war? Armageddon is closely related to one of his cardinal qualities, justice. The Bible declares: “God is a lover of justice.” (Psalm 37:28) He has seen all the acts of injustice perpetrated during man’s history. This naturally provokes his righteous displeasure. Thus, he has appointed his Son to wage a just war in order to do away with this entire wicked system.

Only God is capable of waging a truly just and truly selective war during which righthearted individuals, wherever they may be on earth, will be preserved. ) And only he has the right to impose his sovereignty over all the earth, for it is his creation. Revelation 4:11.

What about survivors? Indeed, no one needs to perish at Armageddon. The apostle Peter observed: “God, does not desire any to be destroyed but desires all to attain to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9) And the apostle Paul stated that God’s “will is that all sorts of men should be saved and come to an accurate knowledge of truth.”

Consider the good Har–Magedon promises to achieve, godly humanity’s peaceful future on this planet, no more pollution, no more war, no more poverty, no more disease or even death. God promises: “Look! I am making all things new.” Revelation 21:3,4

When Christ returns, He will be coming back for all the Saints of God to take them to Heaven. Earth, as we know it, will be a terrible place to live. All the demons and satan will be unleashed to do as they will for a time. So all those people who bash Jesus now will have their chance to live with their master, satan. May God Bless

If he returns he will slap everyone in the face for making a mockery of his teachings. We have divided into thousands of cults and organized religion is the wall between man and the divine.

Honestly, I think that if christ came back, catholics and christians wouldn't believe him and would either kill him or send him to a nut house.
