I always run my deisels 5000 between changes. Those things hold around 3.5gal. Recomend Shell Rotella

3,000 miles is rule of thumb. Unless you switch to synthetic, then you could change it every 7500-10,000 miles depending on what the oil maker suggests.

3000 miles or 3 months whichever comes first. As it gets older you can switch to synthetic and go twice as long.

3000 - 5000 is recomended... wanting more mileage between changes, it's more expensive but well worth it... switch to a full synthetic!
