i just got a 2000 ford F 350 and it doesnt have a owners manuel. It's a diesel 7.4 litre. Could you tell me how many miles i should go on my oil before i should change it.

I would have just given you the info, but it asks for other info such as : driving conditions? which trans ? etc
btw it's a 7.3 liter.

If you use Shell Rottella you can get 5000 miles on a diesel

I always run my deisels 5000 between changes. Those things hold around 3.5gal. Recomend Shell Rotella

3,000 miles is rule of thumb. Unless you switch to synthetic, then you could change it every 7500-10,000 miles depending on what the oil maker suggests.

3000 miles or 3 months whichever comes first. As it gets older you can switch to synthetic and go twice as long.

3000 - 5000 is recomended... wanting more mileage between changes, it's more expensive but well worth it... switch to a full synthetic!

They say every 3,000 miles. I say stay safe ang get It done at 2,300.
