Well I can handle the truth and going through police academy and dealing with domestic violence everyday I can honestly say I NEVER dealt with a police officer or a preacher involved in domestic violence. What you don't realize is Police and Churches are the two most publicized organizations in the world. If a one cop or preacher does something wrong it's on the front page of the paper for people like you to stereo type. Next time get your info from a 30 year veteran from state police service not an 18 week course professor

The problem with studies like this is that they are not based upon reality!! Perhaps those abused by police or preachers are more apt to report the crime in hopes of getting help - that alone is fiction - but if the study was done in domestic violence shelters, child support courts, or in the offices of those dealing with domestic violence the statistics would show that domestic violence is far worse than most realize and not specific to any group race or religion and can only be divided into two groups, those abused and those not abused.

No, and if you have a text book that says that, I'd suggest you toss it out. Domestic violence does not have any particular group as top offenders, and cuts across all races and situations.

That's one of the reasons risk assessment is so difficult.

Just a little looking through any search engine will blow holes in your theory that preachers and cops are more likely to be offenders.

Nonsense. If a women cheats she deserves to get beat. Period.
If you cheat on a preacher or a cop those are the types of people that will get really pissed because they are the ones upholding laws and serving. You cheat on them and it's twice as bad. In no way am I advocating domestic violence, but if a woman cheats, she deserves it.
