If you are willing to buy online, then there are plenty of sites that offer great deals. But there is a catch. These sites often have strict return policies which often dont allow you to return a tv above a certain size and even when they do, they charge you a restocking fee.

LCD TVs are still fairly new, so if you would find one, that big for under $1,000, then I say buyer beware. It'll either be stolen, or probably won't last long. Remember....you get what you pay for... Wait a while (like I'm doing) for the prices to go down. Best of luck to you.

i doubt u can sry. but i mean some unknown company on sale. just go to stores and u might b able to find not as good resolution or old or some unknown company for mayb 1200 or even 1000. if u want look for the new projections. ull prolly find those for less than 1000 or very close

go to yahoo shopping, and click on tv's. then select LCD and the size. note* this would be for online shopping only. then, it will give you a list of tv's with the lowest-highest range of prices. click on one you like, then click on compare prices. it will list all sellers on yahoo with the prices. I am looking for the same thing, from what I have come across thus far the Westinghouse & Olevia seem to be good quality but lower in price. Good luck~

I am not sure but I think WalMart has a few 42' Tv's on sale for $999. That would be my first guess. If not there is always E-bay.

i know a place here in columbus,oh have all the best dealz ever you can find i seen they had a 42 lcd for 500 can you belive it i bought a 52" lcd for 700 i am telling you they have amazing dealz and they guaranty them it's dept. stores surplus

Target has Sony 42" LCD TVs for $1,400. Since it is a little higher, wat u should do is get this offer for a Target Gift Card worth $500. i got it and it basically paid for all my Holiday shopping.
