ok, so i talk to this guy alot on instant messenger, but most of the time, all we say is "lol" or "haha" but what else should we do to keep an interesting conversation? because sometimes, it just gets really boring and it's kinda weird.i want to keep talking to him..but i don't know what to say..cause if i say a statement, there's nothing he can say back except for, that's cool, or lol..i want to keep a conversation flowing, but how?

just keep asking him questions..like about school, how his day was and stuff like that..you can say statements, but then after that, ask a question that doesn't answer yes or no..ask questions like "what did you do today?" questions in which his answer would be a sentence, not just a yea, or a nope...

ask direct questions instead of statements. If he's still vague, move on, you're trying to get blood from a rock.

Ask him about himself...his work, his hobbies, his friends, his family...anything about himself...then he should be able to come up with some answers. People love to talk about themselves! And what better form of flattery to him...u care enough to ask!
