Take him to an eye doctor before he strains them and gets terrible headaches.

Yes. Spectacles are definitely in order, and should correct the problem easily. Take him to an ophthalmologist for a checkup, just to be sure that there is not a more serious problem.

You should take him to the Eye Doctor..i dont think he would say thids to you so he could advoid doing homework but...if his grades are starting to slip then he is not lieing.To Salove your problem take your son to An Eye doctor

take him to see an opthemologist or optometrist (I forget exactly which one does glasses) - have your medical insurance provider recommend one. Glasses are usually made to a specific prescription, so you should seek medical advice about it.
