I saved some footage from my video camera into i-movie hd.
I want to upload a clip to You Tube but don't know where
to find the clip or what to do.
I have a Power Book G4 12 inch laptop. OS X (tiger) 10.4.8

You'll want to open your project in iMovie and export it as a QuickTime movie to upload to YouTube. Don't go overboard with the resolution, as YouTube will downsize it. I forget what size YouTube uses, check out their website for more info on it. If you export your movie in the same resolution that YouTube uses, then you'll end up with a smaller file size that's easier to upload.

I believe you have to save your clip as a Quicktime or .mpeg movie before you can upload. Go to File, Share, and then Quicktime.
