I heard about the Rabbi , who pressured the Seattle airport into action, America is a predominantly Christian country but its citizens are willing to give up their religion and traditions in an attempt to not offend. My boyfriend is taking me to Isreal tomorrow and I think that I will demand a Christmas tree be erected in the airport. Will they remove all signs of thier faith and tradition...or are they stronger willed than Americans?

The Rabbi went so far as to get legal rep. He knew he was causing trouble....I don't make him out to be innocent. The U.S. has the 24th highest murder rate in the world...not far off the 3rd world.http://www.nationmaster.com/red/graph/cri_mur_percap-crime-murders-per-capita&int=-1 Isreal doesn't even make the murder list... Who is the dope...I don't live in America.

The Rabbi just demanded an equal display of his religion. He was upset that the airport caved in and took down the Christmas tree. Be mad at the airport officials who made such a bad decision. Israel is not part of America and doesn't have to uphold our laws of religious freedom.
God Bless and Merry Christmas.

To who will you make this demand ? Okay, whom. You're not going to have much of a vacation racing around making demands. Before you even get to talk to anyone of importance, Christmas will be in the past for another year.

There are Christians who live in Israel-ever thought of that? They have their Xmas trees. Bethlehem is now part of Palestine/West Bank now--but, it was always decorated for Xmas.
Israel is not a Theocracy. It is a Republic-with freedom of religion there.

maybe you shouldn't, but that's a good thought. maybe you could ask politely for one in your room, but if you start demanding, things could get........ well..... not fun. allow them to believe what they believe. Articles of Faith 1:11 says "We claim the priviledge of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same priviledge, let them worship how, where, or what they may." so repect them, but if you ask nicely, you might get what you want

I'm not sure I understand why you would want a thousands year old pagan fertility symbol in an airport.
