I have the same thing- I had few, if any zits in high school and on my 25th, bam, my face is covered with them! It's so annoying. I think it can be caused by change in hormones (having a baby might explain that) and stress. Also, if I am on the phone a lot at work I tend to get them around my mouth. I solved that by wiping the phone down before I start each day. That seems to work.
I also went to spa and got a facial, and it cleared up after the 2nd facial. This worked best to get rid of the deep, reacurring acne. It saved me a trip to a dermatologist and buying special products.
Try it, if you can. You might find that they clear up.

3 Easy Ways to Treat Body Acne!
Are you suffering from Body acne? or Zits below the neckline? Don't worry. You are not alone! Lot's of teen get body acne. It is common in the winter months, when you are wearing piles of heavy clothing.
Sweat can clog skin pores and lead to breakouts all over. Other things that can cause body acne are tight fitting clothing ( It traps sweat against the skin, leading to clogged pores and blemishes) stress and hormones. Body acne commonly pops up on the chest and back.
Ø To zap body acne and prevent it from coming back, you can wash your body daily with a salicylic acid based cleanser. Look for this ingredient on product labels.
Ø Shower daily and be sure to shower as soon as possible anytime you have been sweating - such as after playing sports, working outside or just being in the sun. After your shower, you can follow up by a body moisturizer that contains Alfa Hydroxy acid. This will exfoliate skin and help prevent breakouts, without drying skin out.
Ø At Nighttime you can treat body acne just like facial acne, by applying an acne zapping gel or cream at the effected parts.
Ø If your body acne is particularly bad and wont respond to this treatment after about a month, you will probably need to see a dermatologist.

Oh kids will do that! My skin did the same after my son was born. Hormones and adult acne go hand in hand. Stress and diet can contribute as well. Try Misbehaving by Mark Cosmetics. Its price is good and they have a whole line for "misbehaving" skin. Also go to drugstore and get some vitamins to take for skin. They have then for skin, hair nails etc. It sounds like your problem is coming from the inside out. Make sure products aren't causing your break outs by changing them up. Like shampoo, detergent, face wash, lotion etc...

MOST EXTREME BUT MOST EFFECTIVE is Accutane. Like you, I had mild acne but once I hit 26, I was breaking out all of the time. The result? I now have limited acne (a pimple or two near my menstrual cycle). Downside, Accutane must be prescribed by a Dermatologist. Upside? I no longer have to worry about acne and my appearance.

i used to have really bad skin. and i had like a whole regimen that i would go through to clean it morning and night.
and then my room mate was like maybe it's bad because you try so hard.
so i switched to using a cleanser, with no medicine in it, like noxema. and don't pick, if i have a really bad zit i either put whitening toothpaste on it, it dries it out. or just leave it alone.
it seems like the harder i try to take care of it the worse it gets.
if your skin is dry, make sure you moisturize. because when your skin is dry your face makes extra oil, which can cause more break outs.

try taking a really hot washcloth and putting it on your face for about 30 seconds then take a really cold one and put it on next. its will open your pores and you can use the hot washcloth to wipe your face before putting on the cold one and the cold one will close your pores before any extra junk can get back in there

well, my best friend had horrible acne and she used this medicine called accutane. it is pretty expensive, but it is working really well. the only bad things are it makes your face really dry and gives you some mood swings, but it is soooo good. my friends face is almost completely clear.
