People give gifts for pretty much any reason out there when its positive.. Its always better to give something small, than nothing at all. Now if youre asking what to give, it would depend on the relationship you have.. I think in this occasion, a nice bouquet of flowers would be cool.
Also dont quote me on this, but I just ran across this page. But i'm a 26 yr old female in Fl, and this is my opinion :)
