I bought a few bottles a while ago but how long does it remain drinkable? Months? Years?

Champagne keeps for ages and ages. My father in law has a large wine cellar and he keeps Champagne there. It should be kept upright, not laid down like wine. It will be fine after 10 years.

I do not know, but if you do not finish the bottle, you can use a teaspoon instead of the cork, it will mantain the bubbles for a few days more even the "bottlehole" is not sealed by this method. Put the "handle" of the teaspoon into the bottle, the "wide" part of the spoon will keep the spoon from falling into the bottle. Something about the curve of the teaspoon will save the bubbles.. i am not kidding (Pardon, i am not british, i do not even no what these words are called in my motherlanguage.. good idea for a question!!) .

Or vita wrap if you dont believe me :-)

Months and years. I still have some bottles from 1992 and they're perfectly good. But once you put it in the fridge to chill, you have to drink it within 2 months. The chilling does change the flavor after 2 months.

My friend was given a bottle when she was born from her grandparents and was not allowed to pop the cork til her 18th. I thought that was a lovely idea!!
