Why say anything? Just smile knowingly (as in you know they have absolutely no class or good breeding to be making such a snotty comment) and keep on walking, head held high.
If they absolutely won't leave you alone, what about something like, "Ignorance is such bliss, isn't it." (They probably won't get it or anything witty anyway, so why bother.)
Remember, the geek will inherit the earth (it was a misprint in the Bible!).

Insult them and start a fight. But you have to make friends, going through years of loneliness and being a social loser will spoil any Bill Gates success you may have. Make friends the hard way: assert yourself and take advantage of people's passivity and willingless to just let someone take charge.
