The funny thing is, people assume strange stuff, why is it than religion is the only system we can make up to live by and then have the nerve to call it good, so it was good to have WW II and Slavery was sure good for the nergos, they were not looked at as HUMANS, thank God we live in this country, as long as you follow the rules you were taught. Like Iran I would say they were taught, like the christians, we never did any thing worng, "today" High 5 baby

Isn't it nice to live in a country that allows such questions? Aren't you glad you are not Muslim? Read some Iran news about the hangings etc. Maybe you will be able to appreciate being able to voice your opinion. I neither fear life or death and yes I believe in the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. I do have a peaceful existence in this unmerciful world. Maybe people would be happier if they had the pagan religion of burning their first born. Would this appease all of the people that has such a burning hatred for Christians?

Against boredom even gods struggle in vain.
Sec. 48

What? Is man merely a mistake of God's? Or God merely a mistake of man's?"

Forbidden generosity.-- There is not enough love and goodness in the world for us to be permitted to give any of it away to imaginary things.

After Buddha was dead, his shadow was still shown for centuries in a cave - a tremendous, gruesome shadow. God is dead; but given the way of men, there may still be caves for thousands of years in which his shadow will be shown. -And we- we still have to vanquish his shadow, too.

I teach my children about God because that is the reality we all live in. I teach them so they know the love of God, something that is going to be necessary in their life and knowing the love of God is healthy and good. No fear involved.

Personally, I teach my kids about God to teach them where my strength comes from. All kids' lives are molded by their parents positive or negative. Teaching my kids to mold after my parent (God), and me as I follow his leadership, teaches my kids strength beyond me. I want them to ENJOY this life and not fear the next.

I would fear not being a good parent if I didn't share with them what was most important to me.

personally i don't belive in god. however, my 5 year old goes to church on sunday and he loves it! I do think its important to teach kids about religions so they can make their own choices further down the road. we also do charity stuff for the church but for us its more of a community thing. its just nice to be nice! .its dying in pain that scares the snot out of me,not dying itself

It seems rather obvious to me that religion is completely about the fear of death. Look at the terminology, the rewards, the puishments.....it is about fear.

Well we should teach our children the truth. That means teach them about God.
