Where to stay in the countryside of Rome, Italy?

Young couple looking to experience the culture of Italy. Ideally, we would like to stay with a family in the countryside/city of Rome.

It's impossible to find a familiar accomodation on internet but you could come here,stay a few days in a B & B and (who never knows ??) find a family in the neighbors. However B &B are already a familiar ambience...
I wish it works.

try renting a villa for your stay or something along those lines. we stayed in a small apartment as part of the large villa and olive orchard in Umbria (1 1/2 hours outside of Rome). we didnt see too much of the family, but we were rarely there. a plus side though were the little towns all around where we stayed. we go to really see italian country living and go shop in the grocery store and such. it was better than simply staying in a hotel in rome. the scenery alone was worth staying out in the country. here is a site you can check out and see if anything fits what you are looking for. http://www.villavacations.com
