I mean like algebraic fractions ex. q/15-y/15 . If that is possible can someone tell me how to do that?

I take issue with the previous poster. OO is not 10 x better than Word. It doesn't even support automation.

That said, use the equation editor in Word (see the last paragraph).

Why do people use Microsoft Word? I mean Open Office is ten times better and I believe it includes a program that will do what you are asking(at least my linux distro came with it). To get open office go to http://openoffice.org .
