I have a 2 yr. old 55" sony grand wega the whole circuit board blew Sony, wont help me at all,( big surprise) piad 3000 for it now its dead, does anyone know were i can get a board for it,or what kind of board I need,The repairman said its 600-800 to fix, hoping to find on line cheaper and just pay instalation,

you'll have to ask the repairman how much, or ask Sony, they should at least tell you what kind of circuitboard is in there. I'am surprised what happened to you tv, usually I never hear something like this from a SONY

Bluray(1080p) is beyond the capability of you TV If your wega can do 1080i and 720p then a good upscaling player like the Helios H4000 or H2000 will do the job for $149 or $99 which is less expensive then bluray and will upscale giving a geat pic using standard DVD's
