Does anyone know who i complain to about a dentist? I was 8 mins late for an appoitment yesterday and was told i would have to re-book! Well why is it ok for mr dentist to keep us waiting 15-20 mins and not even a sorry! Also my wife went to the same dentist with toothache and was told she needed a crown @£280. Well it turned out she did not need thecrown , she went to another dentist, found out she had sinusitus and a small filling was needed £24! I feel a complaint is in order!!!!!!

Try the bda or the local nhs trust management.
Everyone is right, dentists are a rip off, why dont we get free dental care, everything else under the nhs is free?

Yes, please complain. Dentist are a rip-off and have been since they were privatised. The public is paying far too much, my dentist looks in my mouth does nothing and charges me £24, then sends me to someone else who cleans them and charges £28. I am a pensioner and would like dentures, but at £800 minimum I cannot afford them. We are going backwards with dental hygiene not forward. It is a skill, but not that much of a skill!! Perhaps if we all complained more we would get somewhere.

Shudder....The dentistry is so scary in the UK that I didn't even read the rest of your question, I just knew it was going to be something horrible. There are so many stories and I just keep it out of my head and hope that brushing my teeth every day keeps a visit at bay.
