I really like this one guy... ( and kind of another) and I dont date. I have never dated, (although I would love to but i believe I m to over weight) and when ever another girl says they did something even as far as sitting with them at lunch I feel overwhelmed with jealousy. I feel like I could cry and I stop talking to people. My friend notice I stop talking and question me untill I say something like I am tired. What can I do to stop being so jealous?

I believe that jealousy is a lot to do with low self-esteem, so you simply need to learn to love yourself more.
mamabear: Realize what you're saying is wrong. Jealousy isn't a controllable emotion, or why would we decide to feel it? We feel envy, because it exists. It's part of what makes us human.
Edit: If you can't change how you look, change what you think about how you look.

I think jealousy is a lot to do with low self-esteem, so you simply need to learn to love yourself more and appriciate yourself more. Don't change for him or he'll love you for who your not. Don't stop talking to them because its not there fault they got to him first, its yours because your not taking a leap of faith to talk to him. You need to just take a deap breath and go and talk to him as a friend then work your way up but don't come on to strong and don't let it be obvious that your jealous when another girl talks to him, you need to work your way out of that, let yourself whatch him with another girl cause jealousy is not going to help. Communication, honesty and trust. Then tell him how you feel when you guys know eachother a little better ask him to give you a chance and if your still jealous then, tell him about the jealousy thing, ask him to help you through it. Everything will work out, be yourself and go talk to him not strong just normal calm and as a friend. And go and workout cause you want just lose weight, you'll gain self confidents, don't let your jealousy take over you and dont be so conscience of the fact that you have on a little extra pounds and that your jealous think about the weight thing a little and COMPLETELY forget about the jealousy and youll get where you want to be.

I dont know i 'm those people if i see people around me are happy then i'm happy...though i used to be jealous when i'm younger...but got over that stage because been thru too much "suffering"... and need just inner peace now.
A little jealousy is good it's an alarm that makes you stay competitive, but too much is disastrous for others. it burns your own energy unneccessarily and cause suffering for others.
You have no control over alot of things in this world, and being overly jealous makes one get "overly involved" with the uncontrollable things in this world. it just making you burn and burn and burn you own energy....
Don't waste anymore time in comparing with others, seeing others' strengths and putting yourself down, instead focus that time in discovering your unique qualities and improving yourself. Just imagine how much you could improve if you start using that time to the right area. "They" have nothing to do with you, but "you" can always change yourself.
You are a unique being.

A healthy mind is in a healthy body. start working out slowly, eat better, basically take care of yourself.
Your confidence level will rise, and then u can start dating with no problem. It also seems to me that you might be suffering from mild depression.
Seek professional help, don't fight it out by yourself, you are not alone.
Be well, Good Luck

Realize that what you're doing is wrong. You don't own them. You aren't even going out with either one of them. Work on your weight so you will have a higher self esteem.
